Eliza Gladys Dean, known as Millvina Dean, was the last survivor of the sinking of the RMS Titanic on 15 April 1912, and at two months old at the time of the sinking, also the youngest passenger aboard.
In later life Millvina spent considerable time travelling the world to meet Titanic enthusiasts, open public exhibitions, and sign paraphernalia. She was also featured heavily in the news, in particular during her later years when she was the sole survivor of the disaster.
This is her entire personal collection of photographs relating to public life, invitations, newspaper clippings, and travel documents. Millvina saved and collated these from the late 1980s through to 2009, documenting an important time of her life. Included in the collected are original newspaper clippings from the days after the sinking in 1912, when Millvina was photographed with her mother and first documented as the youngest survivor aboard.
