Titanic Museum Exhibition was a limited two-week experience at Exeter’s Corn Exchange during the 2022 August summer holiday. Visitors could view artefacts from the ship, explore the city’s connection to the Titanic, learn about the people that travelled on board, and come face to face with items from the wreck site. In a large open environment, we had items from the Titanic, including:
  • The notebook used by third class steward Thomas Mullin.
  • Pocket watch and other personal items of Titanic’s stoker William James Major.
  • A full-size bronze recreation of the Titanic’s Grand Staircase cherub.
  • Items used to visit the Titanic wreck site.
  • A fog horn used during the rescue of the Titanic’s passengers.
  • Chinaware and silverware used by first class passengers.
  • Items from the Harland & Wolff shipyard where the Titanic was built.
As visitors explored the exhibition, they learned about the history of the Titanic, life on board, and how the world was changed after the disaster. The team from the upcoming PC game Titanic: Honor & Glory, also provided a playable demo, enabling visitors to explore the ship in unprecedented detail. Renowned Titanic painter Simon Fisher was also present to sign books and do a meet-and-greet.
